How do I call Campus STRIPE?

STRIPE = Stockton Campus Transport and Escort Service

STRIPE service provides both cart and walking escort to students on campus and extends the presence of the University Police through additional responsibilities such as providing door unlocks and lock-ups based on schedule or dispatched assignment. The STRIPE unit is composed of trained student employees. STRIPE is only available for service on the Stockton campus.   

STRIPE Hours of Operation

  • Spring & Fall semester -- 7 days a week 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM
  • Summer semester sessions -- 7 days a week 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • After service hours transport needed, contact dispatch at 209.946.2537 to request

Obtaining a STRIPE Escort

  • Text STRIPE at 209.624.8747, or 209.624.TRIP (give your name, location, number in party, and destination)
  • Flag down STRIPE when you see them operating on campus (they will assist to get you on your way) 
  • Call the Public Safety dispatcher at 209.946.2537 -- while the preferred method is the text app, you can call dispatch if needed (during or after the noted service hours)

How do I print from my laptop?

You can print from your laptop by following the below steps:

1. Go to print.pacific.edu and login

2. Click "web print" then "Submit a job" to upload the document

3. Select either printdev\PacificPrintB&W or printdev\PacificPrintColor

4. Follow on-screen instructions to print your document

5. Swipe your card at the PacificPrint printer to release print jobs.

What is the library's policy on animals?

2. PacificCard App for iOS or Android.

3. In-person by visiting the PacificCard office or any of the kiosks located in the Lair, Main Library, or Rite Aid Information Commons.

Where can I park when I get to the library?

Faculty, Staff, and Students  

Permits are required to park on Pacific’s campus. Permits are sold at the beginning of each academic year. All users of parking facilities agree to abide by the university’s Parking Permit Terms and Conditions and Parking / Traffic Regulations. Parking is enforced by Public Safety. 

Parking lots are identified by zone. You may only park in lots corresponding to your permit.  

There are six 15-min parking next to the library, on Atchley Walkway adjacent to Southwest Hall. 

Visitor Parking 

Between 8AM – 5PM weekdays, visitors must display a temporary parking permit on their vehicle. Visitors can obtain a temporary permit by visiting the Welcome Center inside Burns Tower, ground floor. After doing so, visitors may park in the reserved “Visitor Parking” slots. 

Citations 

Public Safety officers patrol campus parking regularly. If a vehicle is parked illegally, it will be cited. If you think the citation was made in error, please contact the Citation Appeal Policies and Procedures.

How do I print from a USB drive?

Printing from USB drive 

  1. Swipe PacificCard/PrintCard 

  1. Select the “gear” icon on the top-right corner 

  1. Select “Button Contents” 

  1. Select an open “ + “ icon box 

  1. Select “Register from Function List” 

The USB print option will now be available and you can insert your flash drive into a USB port on the printer. You will find a USB port on the front of the printer.

How can community members print at the Library?

Yes, they can purchase a PacificCard card for $1 then add additional money for printing (copies are $0.06 for black and white and $0.12 for color). The PacificCard machine is located on the first floor of the library by the Main Elevators.

How can I get change for the vending machines inside the library?

The Library does not offer change. There is a campus store called The Grove that could offer change.

Where can I find the Library Code of Conduct?

• Patrons shall behave in an acceptable and lawful manner
• Patrons are expected to maintain an acceptable standard of personal hygiene
• Children under the age of 12 shall be accompanied by an adult
• Patrons shall utilize only external racks for bicycles
• Patrons shall respect quiet zones, (cell phone and noise prohibited)
• Patrons shall follow reasonable direction of Library Staff

By entering the University Library, you agree to all applicable policies, including conduct and behavior.

Where are the physical collections located in the Library?

There will be a curated John Muir Collection in the Muir Experience on the first floor Muir Experience Room (coming soon). 

There is an award-winning Children's Collection (named the Cook Family Children's Collection) located in the center of the first floor. 

We have Leisure Reading material located on the second floor of the library.

The rest of the collection is located in the Garden Level (take the elevator or stairs down). The Garden Level houses the central collection of books, scores, DVD, CD's, Microfilm, Periodicals and the Special Collection archival materials.

How do I book a study room?

You can book a study room from the library website

Study rooms may be reserved for:

  • current Pacific students only
  • up to 3 hours per day per group
  • up to 2 days in advance

Study room reservations may be forfeited if the group does not show up within 15 minutes of their scheduled booking.

If any reservation is found to be in violation of the above policies, library staff reserve the right to delete the reservation.

Reminders

  • Due to limited space, we ask that you do not double book rooms with friends; this ensures that all groups have an equal chance at using a study room.
  • Our study rooms are not soundproof!
